We are a family of 4. Dad, mom and 2 children (age 5 and 4). We work hard to be able to play hard.
We used to travel light, but since 2 youngsters moved into our lifes, we´ve been changing our way to travel alittle eventhough we try to keep it real.
Our trips are often to warmer stokes and most of the time we tend to seek sand between our toes and the sun to tan our bleched bodies.
Food exsperiences also fill alot of our trips. We like to try the local food as much as a Michelin star/recommendation restaurants.
As written before we have kids and had to change our traveling habits, so we also look for the best places child friendly area/place.
We hope you will enjoy the reading and that you will be able to use our tips and tricks for your next trip.

I usually travel solo and preferably to destinations that requires minimal clothing, antimalaria medication and scuba gear.
Mostly I’m drawn towards warmer places far away from home, but I’m not the one to pick and choose - if I see a travel opportunity, I take it, regardless of destination. In order to be able to travel as much as possible I choose budget accommodations. Even tough it’s just a bed and I won’t be spending much time in it, I choose with care because I like my bed sheets clean.
If I’m not scuba diving, fishing, doing yoga, checking out the nightlife, getting lost in local villages or climbing to ridiculous places for breathtaking views my toes are most likely dug in the sand as one also needs to relax.
You’ll find me hanging out with locals or chatting up a fellow traveler. I tend to skip fancy restaurants in favor for food stalls. The weirder the dish the more likely I am to choose it and my preferred level of spicyness is the one that would give most people a heart attack.
I’ve made it my life goal to own more bikinis than clothes, to try all the snacks in the local supermarkets and to dive as many destinations as my wallet allows me to (and sometimes destinations it doesn’t).
As a very organised person, I prefer to research and budget my trips well in advance. You might think that takes the fun out of it, but I've found that I get the most out of my vacation that way. As a child I often travelled with my paternal grandparents, and I recognise a lot of myself in the way my grandfather planned our holidays, so to me it's also an homage to a person who meant a lot to me, and gave me many great travel memories.
Most of the time I travel with my cousin, who is also in her 30s, and our main focus when travelling is food and great atmosphere. Together we've been to Paris, Berlin, London, NYC, and Reykjavik. I organise the majority of the trips, while we both do research online as to what we want to do while at our destination. This has worked out very well for us, and we even ended up dining at a burger place in NYC right next to North Kardashian West and her entourage. So even if you decide beforehand where to eat, you never know who you'll meet.
I'm not a party animal, but more of what we in Norwegian call "luksusdyr" which directly translated means luxury animal, so I always try to look for bargains and reduced prices, to get my money's worth without emptying my bank account. I don't mind spending a little extra on hotel/accommodation, especially if I can get airfare, etc. at a lower cost. That way I can sleep tight, knowing that no bedbugs will bite.
I love things that are a bit unorthodox, which is why I spent many hours on my 28th birthday in the Paris catacombs. Don't worry, I ate a crêpe in a sunny park later that day, so it evens out.
